Natalie Moore, LMSW

Hi! I am therapist Natalie Moore, LMSW. Many of the clients that I work with describe symptoms related to anxiety and depression, as well as issues around substance abuse, anger management, gender, and identity formation, “feeling stuck,”  and procrastination. I work with clients who have experience with stress regarding careers, school, body image, familial and romantic relationship difficulties, and life transitions. It is my belief that what is extremely important in my therapeutic relationships, unlike a relationship with family and friends, the conversation and the focus is consistently on you and only you. I provide a safe space for you to share your feelings, free from any judgment as we explore your thoughts together. I have formal training in Psychodynamic Therapy or the approach that delves into a client’s thoughts and past experiences to uncover the unconscious thoughts, feelings, memories, and motivations that influence one’s current behavioral patterns. Despite my training, I find great value in using multiple modalities or psychological-based theories in a more unified approach. I have used aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Positive Psychotherapy. Additionally, I have incorporated Mindfulness practices in sessions. Every client is unique, and so I see the benefit of using a combination of approaches throughout the therapeutic process to help the client progress towards their goals.
